But mom, it is supposed to wipe off!

It seemed like such a good idea to teach Breakfast Girl how to print using a white board and dry-erase markers.

We got a really great deal on a cute board with kindergarten-type lines for printing on one side and a blank second side for drawing. Every day, she either practices her name, some letters or numbers, or copies a sentence I write out for her. It was going quite well. Until today.

Those of you who know Breakfast Girl know that she loves to wear dresses. Every day. The fancier the better. She also loves to dance so, of course, one of her very favorite dresses is a cute little number a dear friend made for dancing in the local Scandinavian Festival. Very sweet with a cute little apron attached. Now, usually I do not let her wear this dress around the house but today I thought, "what's the harm?" Hmmm. Now I know...

Sweet, wonderful Breakfast Girl was working on her handwriting when she decided to draw on the apron of her dress. It was, after all, a wipe-off marker, so it should just wipe-off, right?

Although this is certainly logical (especially if you are 5) it is not even a little tiny itty bit true.
